This Is The Greatest And Most Honest Pro-Union Ad In The World

Move over anti-drug cheesiness and anti-molester creepiness! There’s a new vintage PSA in town, and it is absolutely gold.

Legend has it, back in the ’70s, at a local TV station, a voice-over artist recorded an alternate track for a pro-union PSA.  He did it just to make the folks around him laugh. This was a pre-YouTube world, but nevertheless, the tape was passed around the station and developed a cult following.

Now it’s up on the Internet, and the comedy holds up. Boy, does it hold up. We’ve been laughing and quoting it all morning. Of course, we can’t quote it here because every other word is NSFW, as the modern kids say.

We’ll tell you this. It is an ad for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). They do a lot around the town. A tough guy is going to tell you all about it, whether you like it or not.

Perhaps for the first time ever, a YouTube commenter said it best when he said,  ”I don’t like people who don’t think this is HILARIOUS.”
