Superego’s Matt Gourley has discovered what may have been the last recorded non-ironic blackface in mainstream popular culture. It appears in a thrilling episode entitled, “The Rabbit Who Ate Las Vegas.”
Fearless leader and master of disguise Hannibal must disguise himself as a room service waiter in order to kidnap a mob boss. You know, normal “A-Team” stuff. He does it in blackface! YIPES!
We know what you’re thinking. What does Mr. T have to say about this?
“Well, you know, B.A.” Hannibal says, “black is beautiful.”
B. A. Baracus responds, “Not on you, Hannibal.”
That pretty much says it all.
Ugh. We feel icky. Let’s watch this “Star Trek” vs. “A-Team” mashup to make us happy again.
