We know smoking will kill us, but we’re fascinated by it anyway! Why? Because we’re amazed by all of the amazing advertising that tobacco companies have been doing over the years. We must admit that not every tobacco ad has been a winner. Now with modern research we know some of them are factually incorrect. We still love them, and our favorites are the ones that are just plain weird. Some are disturbing, some are silly and some are, as the modern kids say, WTF?
Nothing is off limits for the 10 Most Bizarre Cigarette ads!

“Getting hit in the face was totally worth it! I mean… I fell down. It was an accident. He didn’t mean it. Can I have my cigarette now?”
9. Fred and Barney love Winstons
Tobacco companies never directly advertised to children…oh, wait. Never mind. They totally did. Kids! You should smoke Winstons just like Fred and Barney!
8. Delicious Dynamite
Um, when did tar become delicious?
8. Marlboro Mommy
Babies in silly hats are amazing no matter how they’re being exploited. If babies from smoking moms are that cute, light us up a Marlboro!
6. 10 Cents?
Wow. “In pouch packages for men who like to dip in to fill their pipes, or in tins for men who like to carry their tobacco that way.” Yeah. We think these guys like to dip in to fill their pipes, if you know what we mean. Do you know what we mean? We mean that the want to get it on. With each other. Get it?
5. Prevention
What are they preventing? What is going on in this ad? This is confusing. We need to have a smoke break.
4. Lady Doctors
This is a pretty progressive ad, honoring womenfolk and all. Too bad they’re implying that Florence Nightingale would want you to smoke up!
3. Space
We find this to be genuinely delightful yet dangerous for our brave American. We’re torn.

Ho! Ho! Ho! Cough! Choke! Blow!
1. Sexy
This is the worst romance advice we have ever seen. No matter how common smoking used to be, blowing anything in anyone’s face is just plain rude!
