“Mad Men” is critically acclaimed and has a dedicated following. But, as with all quality shows, it doesn’t always get all the viewers it deserves. How can we help? We did some research and discovered that the show might get better numbers if it had a few more violent and hilarious office accidents! How about Don Draper getting poked in the rear with a sharp pencil? How about Roger Sterling getting a cup of hot coffee thrown in his face? We know plenty of folks would love to see Pete Campbell get his hand slammed in a drawer.
We can get a sneak peek of what this awesome take on the ’60s office would be like in this brilliant vintage office safety film! We honestly can’t decide on what level we love this video. Do we love it in a so-bad-it’s-good ironic level? Do we love the always fabulous patronizing semi-sexist ’60s attitude? Or, is it just genuinely funny to watch people getting hurt over and over and over? Possibly all are true. One thing is for sure, we could watch this again and again.
If you learn anything form this, please remember: don’t ever leave a pencil on the floor. Those things are like booby traps!
