Why Faygo soda is amazing:
1) They recently added exclamation points after all their flavor names. Who wants “cola” when you can have “Cola!”
2) They refuse to acknowledge how much Insane Clown Posse likes their product.
3) They take a lot of pride in being a Detroit company.
4) They have the most enthusiastic commercials ever.
Besides the cameo of Harold Peary from “The Great Gildersleeve” at the opening, this commercial has a lot to offer. You can sing along, thanks to the bouncing ball, and the om-pah-pah rhythm gets to be quite hypnotic at about :30. The baseline combined with the lyrics are actually astoundingly manipulative. It is a little bit like watching a communist propaganda film. Faygo remembers. Faygo will take care of you. Faygo is comfort. Faygo is home. Do not question Faygo.
