As soon as The Office’s Steve Carell starts talking, we start laughing, thinking he is being sarcastic, or we’re predicting the punchline. But no, this 1989 Brown’s Chicken commercial gets its humor from a sight gag, having almost nothing to do with our beloved Steve.
It doesn’t matter! We love seeing an early peek at Carell, back in his Second City days, before the world knew his brilliance. We also love learning about the healthiness of Chicago fried chicken. Thanks, Steve!
